Governor Sherrif Oborevwori visited the Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State four days after military officers and civilians were killed. However, journalist were prevented from covering his assessment tour by the military Joint Task Force.
However, Oborevwori was welcomed by Major General Jamal Abdulsalam, the leader of the military Joint Task Force, 6 Division Nigeria Army. They engaged in a private discussion that lasted approximately one hour.
