Former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has officially joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
On June 29, reports surfaced that the former lawmaker had left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC.
He was formally welcomed into the party on Saturday by the national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, along with other Southeast stakeholders, at an event at the Abakaliki Stadium during a party rally.
The rally was attended by governors and other party leaders, including Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma.
