The All progressive Congress announced that it will begin selling Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for governorship aspirants in Ondo State on April 3, ending on April 10. The state governorship primary is scheduled for April 25, with the primary election election appeal set for April 26,as stated by Sulaiman Argungu, the National Organising Secretary, in a statement on the part’s official platform. This decision aligns with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022 and pertinent sections of the Constitution.
Part of the statement read;
“In compliance with the relevant sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Electoral Act 2022, the APC hereby makes public its timetable and schedule of activities leading to the 16th November, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC”
The ruling party has set expression of interest form at N10 million and the nomination at N40 million. However, female aspirants and individual with disabilities are granted a concession, needing only to obtain the expression of interest form, while the nomination form is provided free of charge
