Kano APC Ward Executives Blocked by Court From Dismissing Ganduje

In recent development, a federal High actin Kano, under the jurisdiction of Justice A. M Limaz, has issued a restraining order against the claimed executive members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ganduje Ward. This order prevents them from suspending the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, until further notice.

The injunction was granted following a suit filled by Ganduje, represented by his counsel m, Barrister Hadiza Nasir Ahmed, citing the need to uphold his fundamental rights to fair hearing and freedom of association.

Justice Liman issued the order after considering an ex parte application presented by Ganduje’s legal team. Furthermore, the judge instructed all parties involved to maintain the current status quo, refraining from any actions related to the purported emergency meeting of the APC Ganduje Ward executives, until a motion on notice is heard and resolved.

”All the respondents, their servants , agents or privies are hereby restrained from implementing and or given effect to the purported decision reached during the purported Emergency Meeting of the alleged Executive Members of APC Ganduje Ward, on the 20 April, 2024, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application for the enforcement of fundamental rights of the Applicant,” the judge ordered.

The defendants names I. The lawsuit comprise Basiru Nuhu Isah, the Nigeria Police Force, the Commissioner of Police for Kano Command, the Inspector General of Police, and the Department of State Services.
