Unknown assailants, believed to be involved in kidnapping, targeted the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku Ozalla, in Enugu State. It was gathered that the incident transpired on Tuesday morning, during which a female deputy director of nursing services and a security personnel were reportedly abducted by the perpetrators.
The nurse’s purported SUV was discovered abandoned, its front passenger side glass riddled with bullet holes. Both the Enugu State Police Command and the Hospital management have not yet verified the reported attacked. A reliable source confirmed that this incident unfolded at the same site where a medical doctor was abducted a few weeks ago.
“This is sad; we are not safe at all in this hospital; everywhere is porous,” an anguished employee expressed their distress.
