Armed bandits have attacked the Magarya community in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The attack resulted in the deaths of eleven people, including seven mobile police officers and four civilians .
Three cars were destroyed , including one belonging to the district head of Magarya, who is also the brother of Nasir Magarya, the former speaker of Zamfara State House of Assemeble.
Additionally, chairs in the parlour of the former speaker’s house were set ablaze.
According to a resident, Ahmad Umar, the Magarya Model Primary School was set on fire, and many people sustained various injuries.
Attempts to reach the State Police Command’s spokesman, ASP Yazid Abubakar, were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
