Governor Uzodimma and Dr. Oramah Confer, Delve into Potential $1.5 Billion Investment

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State convened a meeting with Prof. Benedict Oramah, the President of the Africa Export Bank (Afreximbank), in Cairo, Egypt, to delve into the investment propects of Imo State. During his re-inauguration earlier this year, Governor Uzodimma reaffirmed his commitment to exploring avenues for leveraging the abundant human and natural resources of Imo State. According to a statement from Oguwike Nwachuku, the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adverser to the Governor, Governor Uzodimma expressed keen interest in harnessing the vast arable land, gas deposits, and other natural resources of Imo State to drive revenue generation and create employment opportunities for the youth population.

“At the Ciaro meeting with Oramah during the week, Governor Uzodimma and his host explored among other things, the huge investment potentials that is Imo State for win win situation. An excited Governor Uzodimma is not only confident that the meeting was fruitful and will yield the desired results, he also expressed joy that Imo State would be better off based on the matters under discussion with Oramah”, the statement reads.

Yesterday, Governor Uzodimma too k to his social media platform to announce: ” I am delighted to share an exciting development as i seized an opportunity in Cairo to meet with our esteemed brother, PArof. Benedict Okey Oramah, President of Afreximbank. We explore potential partnership terms aimed at catalyzing investments in our State’s economy and i am thrilled to announce that our effort have borne fruit, as we have made significant strides in advancing discussions for potentials investments totaling up to $1.5 billion.” This collaboration hold immense promise for the prosperity and growth of our beloved State as we continue to work diligently towards realizing our shared vision of a thriving and vibrant economy.
