Former PDP Chairman Secundus, Sekibo, and others Pledge Loyalty to Tinubu and Fubara. In a significant turn of events, Uche Secondus, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, along with members of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 general election in Rivers State, have announced their endorsement of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The declaration was made by Dr. Abiye Sekibo, former Minister of transportation and Director-General of PDP-PCC Rivers State, during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Thursday. Among those present were Secondus, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Austin Opara, Celestine Omehia, Former Deputy Governor Tele Ikuru, Senator Lee Maeba, and former Secretary to the Rivers State Government Dr.Gabriel Pidomson.
This move marks a departure from their previous support for the PDP presidential candidate in 2023, Atiku Abubakar, during the last elections.
