Shettima Offers Insight on Nigeria’s Economic Challenges, Says The Worst is Over

Vice President Kashim has reassured Nigerians that the nation has overcome the worst of its economic challenges. Speaking at the launch of the National Design and Innovation Competition in Abuja, Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s youthful population, averaging just 19 years old, “it an age group that is pregnant with ideas for innovation and for the social and economic transformation of Nigeria,” adding that, “Innovation drives manufacturing and Nigeria is brimming with possibilities and opportunities.”

He committed the federal government to backing youth aspirations and entrepreneurship, praising the financial Institutions for their support of the creative sector. Shettima further disclosed intentions to involve young innovators in the government’ $617.7 million investment in Digital and creative Enterprises (i-DICE) program.

Shettima further said “the worst is over, Observing that the Naira is poised for continued stabilization in the forthcoming weeks and months, the administration led by President Bola Tinubu is actively addressing concerns such as food security, nutrition, sand insecurity. He also added “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is making robust plans to see that all issues of security are addressed.”
