Frank Geng-Quangrong, a Chinese national, has been sentenced to death by hanging by the Kano State High Court for the murder of his girlfriend, Ummukalthuum Buhari, following a reported misunderstanding between them. Quangrong was accused of culpable homicide in Buhari’s death but pleaded not guilty, claiming self-defence, stating that he stabbed her after she allegedly assaulted him in September 2022.
“I didn’t kill Ummulkhulsum intentionally but stabbed her in self-defence after she grabbed my testes,” Quangrong said.
