A Premier League club, yet to be identified, has reportedly expressed interest in Bayer Leverkusen and Super Eagle striker Victor Boniface. The 23-year-old has made a remarkable impression in his debut season at Laverkusen, netting 16 goals in 23 appearances across all competitions under Xabi Alonso’s management, as they maintain a commanding 10-point lead at the summit of the Bundesliga.

According to Sky in Germany, Leverkusen is keen on retaining the Nigerian talent but may consider offers exceeding 47.2m pounds (55m euros) this summer. Boniface was acquired by Leverkusen from Belgian outfit Union Saint-Gilloise for a reported fee of 17.2m pounds (20m euros) in July.

Despite undergoing adductor surgery in January, Boniface is back in training, eyeing a return to action after sidelined since December 20.
